Open a Solo 401k to invest in real estate syndication without quitting Day Job
Posted by George Blower on May 9, 2022 at 6:18 amWe received the following good question on our YouTube channel:
QUESTION:
If i have a w2 job, can i just use my ira to invest in re syndication? without converting to 401k?
RESPONSE:
Someone who is separately self-employed (e.g. side hustle, side gig, etc.) may certainly set up a solo 401k notwithstanding that such person has a w-2 job. See more: https://mysolo401k.net/mycommunity/forums/discussion/can-i-have-a-solo-401k-and-a-regular-401k-at-my-day-job-at-the-same-time/
One can then fund the Solo 401k with funds from a non-Roth IRA (note: we will handle the rollover as part of our services) and then invest in a real estate syndication. See more: https://www.mysolo401k.net/solo-401k/private-company-investment/
