Transferring TD Ameritrade 401k into MySolo401k 1099-r
Posted by Dan D. on May 20, 2022 at 4:28 pmI have a question about a direct in-kind transfer from a previous TD Ameritrade solo 401k (Roth and Trad) into a new and current MySolo401k held at Schwab. Do you need to fill out a 1099-R for the in-kind transfer? Will Mysolo401k assist with this?
Thanks!

May 21, 2022 at 9:48 pmNo, a Form 1099-R does not apply since the plan was restated (i.e., you changed from one solo 401k provider to another). See the following: https://www.mysolo401k.net/top-reasons-to-upgrade-your-td-ameritrade-solo-401k-to-a-self-directed-solo-401k/
